When we think of law and licences, perhaps the first thing that springs to mind is alcohol licensing, for understandable and obvious reasons as this needs to be strictly regulated.
However, there are numerous other areas of the law where licences come into play, and these include many property licences such as freeholder licence to assign a lease, licence to occupy and establishing the difference between a lease and a licence.
Further, in addition to alcohol licensing there are many other Local authority required licences such as a licence to open late, to sell hot food and such like.
then we turn to other legal areas such as gambling, where again there are procedures necessary to comply with the law.
