Steeles Law in Top 20 for Will Aid Donations

The stats are in from Will Aid’s 2009 campaign and Steeles Law were 19th place in the list of firms raising the most money out of 1100 solicitors registered nationwide.

The firm raised £4,875 for Will Aid’s annual campaign ‘National Make a Will Month’ - when law firms offered basic will-writing services for free during November 2009 - helping to, for the first time, reach over £1million in donations and Gift Aid.

The campaign helps to fund the work of nine charities including British Red Cross, Help the Aged, NSPCC and Save the Children, and will help to transform the lives of vulnerable people around the world.

Samir Hussain, a solicitor in Steeles Law’s Wills and Probate Team led the firm’s Will Aid campaign. He comments, “We are thrilled to have been one of the top fundraisers for Will Aid and to raise such a significant amount in these economically uncertain times. A number of clients mentioned the campaign was just the motivation they needed to write their Will.”

Steeles Law has offices in Norwich, Diss and London and are proud of their reputation for providing straightforward advice on will-writing. Comments from those clients who participated in Will Aid included “Everything was explained in easy to understand language” and Steeles Law were “Very helpful, kind and patient with my elderly parents”.

Less than half the adults in Britain have made a Will, a vital way to protect and provide security for family and loved ones in the future.

Once you have made a Will it is important that you don’t just forget about it. Many changes in your life affect the validity of your Will; moving house is just one of these. The Will Aid website cites a recent report, which found that people are over four times more likely to have reviewed their gas and electricity supplier than their Will.
