16 councils across Sussex are turning to Steeles Law for advice on a range of legal services.
The firm has won places on seven of the Sussex Councils’ Consortium panels and will sit alongside other top-flight legal firms including Eversheds, Pinsent Masons and Shoosmiths, providing legal services from administrative/local government law and civil litigation to contract, criminal litigation, housing, ICT and planning.

Steeles Law was the first firm in the country to take over the entire running of a local authority legal department, when it took on the running of Broadland District Council in 1997. This latest tender win brings the total number of Steeles Law’s local authority clients to 42, including the London boroughs of Lambeth and Croydon, Leeds City Council, Breckland Council and Norfolk Constabulary.
Services range from planning, property and debt recovery to housing, procurement and employment.
