Three Given Senior Roles after Law Firm Promotions

In its latest round of internal promotions, Steeles Law has awarded three lawyers senior positions.

The firm’s Dispute Resolution Team has been strengthened two-fold with Commercial Litigator Marcus Chapman being made Associate and Personal Injury Lawyer Chris Moore being promoted to Legal Director.

Marcus has 20 years of experience in Civil Litigation in both the private and public sectors, including contract and construction disputes, disputed probate matters and professional negligence, together with insolvency advice and business rescue. He also specialises in all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Chris heads Steeles Law’s Personal Injury Team and has 14 years of experience in his field. He represents companies and individuals involved in negligence claims and specialises in clinical negligence, asbestos related claims, and those involving a foreign jurisdiction.

The firm’s Dispute Resolution Team also recently saw the appointment of experienced litigator Katy Levy from Eversheds, which brings the number of litigators at Steeles Law to 11, a sign of the change in legal services.  Over the past two years the firm has seen an increase in the number of disputes in both the consumer and commercial markets.

Lindsey Sharples becomes an Associate in the 8-strong Wills & Probate Team. She specialises in providing advice in relation to Wills, Probates and Powers of Attorney; regularly advises on cases in the Court of Protection and is a CRUSE trained bereavement councillor.

Steeles Law’s Managing Principal Stephen Drake comments, “Our recent promotions reflect the outstanding leadership these staff have provided in a difficult economic climate. They have all shown a real commitment to the firm, substantial achievement in their sectors and, equally important, the real potential to help the firm grow."
