Steeles Law Supports Britten Sinfonia Orchestra

Britten Sinfonia
Leading commercial law firm, Steeles Law is contributing to the development of the future of UK arts provision by sponsoring seven performances of the Britten Sinfonia orchestra over the next three years.

Suitable for audiences of all age groups, Britten Sinfonia is one of Europe's most dynamic chamber orchestras and was last year awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society Ensemble Award. Uniquely Britten Sinfonia is not musically led by a principal director or conductor in the traditional sense. Instead, the focus is on the musicians – all highly respected chamber musicians in their own right.

Stephen Drake, Managing Principal at Steeles Law says, “We are delighted to be contributing to the development of the future of arts provision in the UK. Our sponsorship of Britten Sinfonia sits well with our support of other arts organisations such as Art Universities and our connections with English National Ballet, for whom we are exclusive providers of immigration and employment legal advice.

“We first became aware of the Britten Sinfonia through our specialist music and media team based in London. We are supporting them initially for three years, sponsoring concerts in both Norwich and London, where Steeles has offices.”

John Bickley, Development Director of Britten Sinfonia, added, “Such enlightened and enthusiastic support for our work in Norwich and London is hugely important to us.  We look forward to building a mutually successful partnership with Steeles Law.”

Steeles Law are sponsoring seven performances of the Britten Sinfonia, which included ‘Nocturne’ on 24th October 2008 at the Norwich Theatre Royal. Forthcoming events include ‘Imogen Cooper directs Beethoven’ at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London on 9th February 2009 and ‘Bach Plus’ at the Norwich Theatre Royal on 20th March 2009.
